We are seeking reliable and motivated Production Operators to join our clients manufacturing team in Edinburgh. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment and take pride in producing high-quality products while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for operating manufacturing equipment, conducting quality inspections, completing production documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will be part of a team-focused environment where flexibility, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate moulding machines, assembly cells, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Follow work instructions, BOMs, routings, and production procedures.
- Trim, weigh, package, and process components as required.
- Conduct regular quality inspections throughout each shift.
- Report machinery faults, defects, and production issues promptly.
- Assist with scheduled plant and equipment maintenance.
- Work flexibly across different production areas and shifts as required.
- Complete hourly quality checks and production records.
- Identify and report product defects and non-conformances.
- Use measuring equipment and gauges accurately when required.
- Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and submitted on time.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report hazards, incidents, and near misses.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas at all times.
- Contribute to a positive safety culture across the site.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow procedures and complete accurate documentation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to perform manual handling and lifting tasks safely.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Experience in operating walkie Stackers, trolleys and pallet trucks will be looked at favourably.
- Forklift (High Risk license) desirable but not essential.
