I am seeking an experienced Manufacturing Assistant to join a busy production environment in Melbourne’s South-East. This is a hands-on role working across machinery operation, production support, quality control, and basic administration duties.
You will play a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards across all outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setup, operation, and monitoring of production machinery and equipment
- Operate production line equipment including conveyor systems and filling equipment
- Mixing, blending, filling, and handling of production materials
- Conduct basic quality checks and inspections of finished products
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Support inventory control and materials handling
- Perform cleaning and sanitisation of equipment and work areas
- Assist with routine maintenance and reporting of equipment issues
- Ensure adherence to all safety, hygiene, and compliance procedures
- Work collaboratively with production and warehouse teams
About You
- Previous experience in manufacturing, food production, dairy, pharma or liquid production preferred
- Forklift licence (essential)
- Basic mechanical or technical aptitude
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (advantage)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs
- Physically fit and comfortable in a hands-on production environment
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
- Australian Permanent Residency is a must.
