Acclaimed Workforce is a specialist recruitment and labour hire agency servicing wine, manufacturing and warehousing employers in key regional and metropolitan hubs. We are currently recruiting for multiple roles seeking keen and enthusiastic workers to work as coopers at a Barossa based Cooperage. The cooperage has a long tradition in the area and pride themselves in their craftsmanship and work culture.

The roles do not require previous work experience in similar industries, but a keen interest in woodwork or carpentry is highly regarded. All aspects of the job will be thought over time. There are many operations that go into the making of barrels, with various specific machinery as well as fire pits to char the barrels. There are elements of hard physical labour, and this will require individuals that are in good health which is essential to be successful in being selected. Most important of all is the eagerness to learn, always follow instructions and adherence to safety.

The roles are ongoing casual work through Acclaimed Workforce. Work is dayshifts with a nine day fortnight. For the right candidates, full time permanent employment is possible after a training period. There’s also possibility of full apprenticeship.

Applicants on a  Working Holiday Visa  will  not  be considered.
 
Duties will include but not limited to:
• Be able to efficiently work in a fast-paced environment with machines and manual labour.
Maintain high standards of quality in work.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to site requirements.
• Repetitive tasks and lifting and shifting heavy loads.
• Working in a team environment.

About You:
• Have a Safety-First attitude and be able to follow safety instructions (essential).
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment is desirable, but not essential.
• Interest in woodworking and carpentry
• Motivated with a “can do” attitude to manage repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test.
• Must reside in Australia to apply.
