This significantly reduces the time, effort and costs associated with engaging apprentices and trainees and results in higher completion rates.

Why use a GTO?

There are many reasons to use a GTO for apprentices and trainees. Here are just a few:

  • The GTO undertakes all recruitment activities and administrative requirements
  • The GTO assumes all employment responsibilities
  • The GTO manages pre-employment induction and onboarding activities
  • A GTO Field Officer arranges all necessary PPE
  • A GTO Field Officer oversees off the job training
  • A GTO Field Officer provides support to both Host Employer and apprentice/trainee

The end result - increased retention and completion rates while you, the Host Employer, receive ongoing support.

Sourcing the best apprentices and trainees

Before starting, Acclaimed Workforce will work through a series of meetings and onboarding tasks with the apprentice or trainee to ensure they are committed and the right fit. These can include:

  • Online induction modules via the WorkPro platform
  • Work Rights and Police Check via the WorkPro platform
  • Discussion of how the Training Program will work
  • Drug and alcohol screening
  • Pre-employment screening
  • Acclaimed Workforce may also send an apprentice/trainee to have a medical assessment

After completing the interview/meeting, Acclaimed Workforce matches the apprentice/trainee to potential Host Employers, ensuring the best fit.

Once matched, you as the Host Employer may also want to meet with the apprentice/trainee and any parent, guardian or significant person. The Acclaimed Workforce Field Officer will also be present for support during this meeting. Acclaimed Workforce will also conduct reference or character checks with their referees.

When the apprentice or trainee has been engaged, Acclaimed Workforce will on-hire them to your business. We are here to provide additional support, answer questions and work through potential issues before they become problems with the aim of optimising the success of the program.
