Common Work & Payroll Queries

  • What if I’m sick, can’t make it to work or I wish to take leave?

If for any reason you are unable to attend work, or if you think you’ll be late, please call the Acclaimed Workforce office before your expected start time and inform them of the situation. Any leave requirements will need to be discussed with the Acclaimed Workforce team.

  • What if I don’t wish to continue in my current role?

Please contact your Acclaimed Workforce consultant to have a confidential discussion.

  • What is my pay period?

Acclaimed Workforce employees are scheduled on a Sunday to Saturday pay period, with payroll processed and funds released on the Wednesday following. Wages are expected to be available in bank accounts within 24 hours of release (bank dependable), with the exception of public holidays, where you will be notified in advance.

  • What if I change my bank details?

Please call the Acclaimed Workforce team to notify them and they will send you a form to complete via DocuSign. You will need to provide all new bank account information at the same time as your timesheet deadline for your pay to be paid into your new bank account.

  • What happens if my pay day falls on or around a public holiday?

Acclaimed Workforce will notify you via your payslip in the weeks prior to a public holiday if your pay day will be moved. If there is no notification, your pay day will remain the same. During the year, if your pay day is moved, it will only be by one day. However, over the Christmas break a different schedule may apply, which we will notify you of well in advance.

  • Am I eligible for annual leave or sick leave?

If you are employed on a casual basis, then no. You are paid casual loading instead of leave entitlements.

  • Do you provide salary sacrifice services?

Yes, we allow our on-hired employees to salary sacrifice into their Superannuation funds.

Please contact the Acclaimed Workforce team who will provide you with the relevant forms to complete. For Superannuation, you will need to provide us with an ongoing standardised amount in dollar terms. As part of our service, we pay any salary sacrifices into your Superannuation fund monthly.

  • How much Superannuation am I entitled to?

You are entitled to compulsory superannuation (super) contributions of 10% if you are earning $450 or more (before tax) per calendar month. This applies to ordinary time earnings and not overtime hours.

Employers in Australia are generally required to pay as per Superannuation Guarantee Levy (SGL) legislation (10% from 1st July 2021) on their Ordinary time Earnings, if earned more than $450 per Calander month.

  • When is my employer’s Superannuation contribution paid into my account?

The ATO require employers to pay Superannuation on a quarterly basis. Acclaimed Workforce will pay your superannuation quarterly by the 28th day of the month into your nominated superannuation fund. This is separate from salary sacrifice and voluntary member contributions, which will continue to be paid monthly.

  • What do I need to do if I change Superannuation funds?

Let your consultant know ASAP and they will send you a form to complete via DocuSign. Please note, before closing your account, make sure to check with your consultant that all outstanding Superannuation has been paid to your account.

  • Long Service Leave

You will be entitled to Long Service Leave after a specified number of years of continuous service. Service is deemed to be continuous if there is no break in employment for a specified number of months, with certain exceptions (e.g. parental leave).

Each Australian state has different rules and regulations as to how many years of service are required before leave is paid on termination or available to be taken as leave, and what constitutes a “break” in service. Your Acclaimed Workforce consultant will contact you if you are entitled to Long Service Leave.
